Babies Favourite Songs:
Pat a cake, pat a cake, baker’s man.
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
(Hold your baby’s hands open and pat them together.)
Pat it and prick it
(Touch is open palm with your finger, pat it with your hand.)
And mark it with B
(Trace a B on his palm.)
And put it in the oven for baby and me.
(Pat his hands together again.)
Round and round the garden like a teddy bear,
(Hold your baby’s hand open and trace a circle on him palm with you finger.)
One step,
(Step your finger up towards his elbow.)
Two steps,
(Step your finger up towards the top of his arm.)
Tickle him under there.
(Tickle him under the arm.)
Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such fun
And the dish ran away with the spoon!
Babies also love to sing ‘Row row row your boat’, ‘Twinkle twinkle little star’ and ‘If your happy and you know it’.
I’m sure you will be familiar with these old favourites.
