Playdays Team

The Playdays have been selected for their qualifications and experience, personality and above all their love of children. The Playdays Team won 'Team of the Year' at the prestigious On Track Business Award ceremony held in January 2005 @ the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

All staff are CRB checked upon joining the Company. (CRB = Criminal Records Bureau).

Our people receive a comprehensive induction programme of training as they start their career with us. Their induction covers subjects such as Paediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene and the extensive Base Room Practices to familiarise themselves with our standards and procedures.
All our people are encouraged and supported to continue their self development through on-going training opportunities. Your child will be assigned a Key Worker who will set goals and achievement targets and will be your first contact in communicating your child's development. We also work closely with the local Early Years Partnership to provide support, training and information to all parties involved in the care of your child.

Staff ratios are 1:3 for 0-2 year olds, 1:4 for 2-3 year olds and 1:8 for 3-5 year olds.

Playdays are committed to promoting equality of opportunity in all areas of employment, including recruitment, training and promotion. We aim to create an environment where all members of staff can develop their full potential regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, age, disability, race, colour, nationally, ethnic origin, religion or political beliefs.

Selection for all posts is based on merit, and the individual having skills and ability to do the job.

Males are under represented within the childcare industry, totalling approximately 1% of the workforce. At Playdays, we would like to increase our number of male staff, so why don't you apply now!

Knowledge of Ethnic Minorities and the importance of equality are promoted to all our children. We are always looking for individuals from all ethnic backgrounds to help us achieve our aim.

Mature Workers are adored by our children and the life skills they bring into Nursery are invaluable.

Playdays is an ideal start for Young People looking to start a career in Childcare. We provide the opportunity to complete and Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, whilst gaining work experience, and we provide mentoring and coaching to all.

Playdays also has the opportunities for Students and Work Experience placements.

We have developed excellent relationships with colleges across the county that provides childcare courses enabling students to put theory in to practice.
