Indoor Activities

We provide a wide range of activities in all our brightly decorated and spacious rooms. Children are encouraged to choose their own activities and make choices and to share equipment - at the same time contributing to their early social development and self confidence. We have several computers within Pre-school and Upper Toddlers, with a range of educational software which complements our Curriculum planning, together with a well stocked library with a huge choice of children's books. Our children regularly take part in cookery, dance and musical activities. Structured Spanish lessons are undertaken with Pre-School children.

Outdoor Activities

We have a large outdoor play area (our nursery is set with 0.6 acres of land) and plenty of free space for free play. This is encouraged as part of their daily routine - in all weather conditions (but not too severe!). We have plenty of outdoor play activities and our children are always supervised. The gardens are used for outdoor play, picnics, reading and for growing vegetables and plants. The outdoors at Playdays is very much an extension of the learning experience within the building.

We also like to take opportunities for our children to experience their local environment. Outings to the local park or to the village library are encouraged and we always seek parent's permission before so doing. Swim Smart lessons are available for our pre-school children.

Daily Routines

The daily routine of the base rooms will depend hugely on the age of your child. Each day is planned and approved by our professionals to include activities that are perfect for your child's learning.
