The nursery opened in September 2004 following the extensive refurbishment of the Old Grammar school. The property, which was previously unoccupied, has been extensively renovated to meet all local and national standards for health, safety and security whilst creating a warm and caring environment and retaining much of its original character. The original building was built in 1799 is set in 0.6 acres of land which has been landscaped to create a large outdoor area. The gardens are used for outdoor play, picnics, reading and for growing vegetables and plants. The outdoors at Playdays is very much an extension of the learning experience within the building.

Playdays provides the ultimate care and education for your child, offering full and part time places, flexible opening hours and opportunities to save money on childcare costs with Childcare Vouchers.
The Nursery has secure access systems, individual play areas for babies, toddlers and pre-school children, all equipped with fantastic facilities and equipment.

The setting is OFSTED registered and is inspected under the Children's Act and receives regular visits to ensure our practices and procedures are in accordance with the National Day Care Standards.
